La Fortuna 2007 (DOCG Brunello di Montalcino): Discover the rich cultural and gastronomic heritage of a fortunate vineyard

Tuscany is one of the most popular wine regions in Italy. It is located in center-west country looking Tirrenan Sea and with Firenze like reference city. 120 km south Firenze is Montalcino village with his own D.O.C.G. Montalcino's Brunello. This DOCG have 1500 hectares with Sangiovese like king. In cellar it is worked with long maceration for resists a 4 years aging (minimum 2 in barrels). This time the aging has lasted 40 months in Slovenian oak barrels and 9 months in bottle.


Visually medium opacity with dense tears hiding structure. A very intense nose. Ripe black fruit, sweet spice, eucalyptus, caramel and empyraumáticosatic aromas. Great depth and complexity. A powerful and ethylic entry in mouth (15% vol). Full and dense development. Great body and discreet acidity. A long finish with an already polished tannin with hints of very ripe fruit. The mouthfeel aromas mix fruits macerated in liquor on a spicy background that puts a spicy persistence.


3 km from Montalcino (Tuscany) is located the place where this 'Riserva' is made: Azienda Agricola La Fortuna. If you visit the area don't forget to visit the Montalcino's Rocca, the San Agostino's Church or the Benedictine Abbey of San Antimo. You will see God in any case serving this reference valued between 50 and 60 € at 14 º C with a decantation 1 hour before the service. As a match try the Peposo (meat stewed with tomato sauce, red wine and lots of pepper) or the traditional Tuscan 'Fiorentina' (beef steak that is cut with a great thickness).
